Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op / Paint Shop Technical Planning (Summer 2025)

Description
The Gen>NEXTer will be a part of the Technical Planning/Engineering team and work alongside the team members in different projects and areas during this rotation. Main objectives will be new model industrialization as well as to support existing vehicle production processes
The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
- Concept and Development of process layouts, equipment and tooling design, and process steps.
- Participate in Design reviews of new model processes to integrate into series process.
- Process evaluation for overall Production output – cycle time and availability.
- Project management and supplier management.
- New Model Project / Product / Process Design and analysis to support integration into series process / line.
- Develop bi-annual major shutdown work coordination matrix for area of responsibility.
- Maintain Process Flow Maps.
- Standard Process confirmation testing - Oven Probe body processing, E-coat Destruct processing, Wax Destruct processing, Part Destruct processing.
- Updating of annual document reviews.
- Assistance in various projects and trials.
Qualifications
- Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
- Willingness to learn.

- Self-driven to push projects and tasks forward.
- Good Communication skills.
- Problem Solving / Analytical skills.
- Organized and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- MS Office knowledge required.
- Basic CAD knowledge (preferred Catia).
- Preferred but not mandatory: Excel macro, Sharepoint, Apex, etc.
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to complete 3 work terms for Co-op positions.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
- THE WORK TERM DATES ARE (May 19th - August 8th, 2025).
