We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of Data Science - Web & Commerce Analytics. To take our operations to the next level, the BMW GROUP's - Web & Commerce Analytics department is looking for a Data Science intern to empower BMW's Websites and E-Commerce platforms. As an intern, you will be part of a network of analysts who support cross-functional agile product teams designing, developing, operating, and optimizing products with data, tools, and analytics.
What awaits you?
- By joining BMW's Web & Commerce team, you will gain extensive insights into a globally operating analytics team.
- You support our team in deriving recommendations for actions to improve our websites and find opportunities to create immediate value by building data-driven solutions.
- Furthermore, you independently create advanced analytics methods, implement Data Science use cases and Machine Learning models, and conduct ML Ops approaches such as version control, model deployment, and monitoring.
- Perform predictive analytics to analyze patterns and trends in website traffic and revenue and identify opportunities for optimization.
- You will be an integral team member, responsible for various projects, and your contribution will directly impact our products.
- To act as a consultant recommending the latest trends in the Data Science field and work with other top consultancies to help build in-house competencies will be also part of your tasks.
- To explore potential Generative AI projects and develop proof-of-concepts as relevant rounds off your exciting job field.
What should you bring along?
- Currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university studying Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Data Science (Master's Degree preferred), or similar programs or in a Gap Year.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills, with the ability to analyze, interpret, and handle complex and large data sets (millions of rows).
- Knowledge of programming languages (i.e., Python, SQL, PySpark) and frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
- Knowledge of Cloud-Architecture and Data Engineering systems (i.e., AWS, Palantir Foundry, Spark) and ML Ops Frameworks (i.e., MLFlow, Airflow) is beneficial.
- Experience in E-Commerce platforms such as Google & Adobe Analytics is a plus.
