QMT Intern (Spring 2025)

Description

The QMT (Quality Management Parts) Plastic Trim Intern will support of Department KPI’s (Key Performance Indicator), workshops, and quality activities. They will work with supplier to ensure quality products are delivered to BMW.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

• QMT Project Technical Support
• IPQ Support
• QZ Audit Support, data analysis and follow up.
• Q Index Support and follow up.
• Rework Investigation support and follow up
• Supplier Audit, Process Series
• Support on steering of activities for Projects
• Production Process Stabilization 
• Creating minutes and LOPs out of best practice exercises
• Follow up on measures at suppliers
• Assist supply chain and QMT engineers as needed
• Stabilization of supplier production
• Support of series quality projects
• Projects to lower specific KPI’s

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Business Management or similar.
• MS Office, advanced excel, Power Point and Basic Knowledge of Project and Visio.
• Experience in managing or leading group of people and some experience/knowledge in Automotive Industry or Productions System.
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
• Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
• MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
