Description

                                              

The Leadership Partner is responsible for proactively supporting all aspects of strategic and tactical HR by partnering with all business departments to ensure that associates are treated in an equitable and consistent manner, adhering to our company policies and procedures. The Leadership Partner will provide valuable relationships with our people managers and senior managers and will design and deliver key projects involving organizational development, resourcing, ongoing talent management, employee engagement and related HR initiatives, while providing day-to-day support to our managers and senior managers at all levels within the organization.

 

The Leadership Partner is also responsible on strategic direction of performance management, training, recruiting etc.  and will work alongside the respective regional contact at PL-AM.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

  • HR Management, Associate Relations, Talent Development, final Talent identification for all FLV People Leaders and FLIV roles.
  • Responsible for the relationship between HR and the business. Own the associate relationships while consistently providing a superior level of service to each People Manager and Senior Manager.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to associates in area of responsibility and ensuring consistently high standards of HR service.
  • Lead the vision of HR, including providing excellence in personal and team leadership and taking an active role in in ensuring the Leadership Partner model is implemented successfully.
  • Design and deliver high impact solutions that meet the needs of the business.
  • Provide expert input across a range of HR issues (generalist and specific expertise.  Design and deliver high impact solutions that meet the needs of the business unit.
  • Keep up to date with external trends and best practices in the area of expertise.
  • Understand and anticipate the need for change, diagnose the underlying issues and build the case for changes with the stakeholders. Be active member of change management processes.
  • Will work closely with the Specialist to ensure consistent approach and processes with regards to all employee relation issues with Associates.
  • Role covers a broad spectrum of HR disciplines including associate relations, performance management, succession planning, Leadership coaching, talent management and change management.
  • Strategically lead and develop new career pathways for new businesses, creative sourcing channels and continues to implement organizational changes where required.
  • Strategic development, planning and execution of BMW Group and BMW Group Canada training programs for all associates in the NSC and NFSC.
  • Responsible for ongoing strategy and direction of recruiting for NSC and NFSC, ensuring futureproof skillsets and competencies for the future.
  • Maintenance of personnel files and bi-annual audit of files; random selection of at least 5-7 files to validate the quality, accuracy, etc.
  • Co-Chair on other committees where required.
  • Other duties of a general or unspecified nature as may be required to achieve the overall effectiveness of the department.
  • Support Event Management: develop, create, plan, coordinate and drive the execution of events for associates like All Associates meetings, Christmas / New Year Launch events, Celebrations events etc.

Qualifications     

      

  • University degree or College Diploma in Human Resources/Business or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in a Human Resources environment
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in workplace investigations
  • Knowledge of current legislation related to Human Resources in multiple provinces
  • Working experience as a recruiter preferred
  • Completion of CHRP is preferred
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certification is preferred
  • Project management experience an asset
  • Well-developed PC skills (MS Office)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Fluent command of English
  • French would be beneficial
  • Leadership and management behavior
  • Change management/Culture transformation experience an asset
