Description

 

Develop with us the next generation of embedded software platform for highly networked and innovative automotive software functions in an international team.

Modern development methods and technologies such as continuous integration and testing, agile development, test-driven development or domain-specific languages are a fixed part of our work.

What awaits you?

  • You are responsible for the software architecture (e.g. communication structure, software component deployment) in one of the most complex ECUs in the BMW board net.
  • You will work together with other architecture areas like security and functional safety.
  • You will develop and define the software architecture of an ECU e.g. regarding deployment and communication decisions.
  • You will develop software architecture solutions for different integration aspects throughout the ECU development.
  • You will enable the software architecture for new hardware generations.
  • You will work in a networked manner and independently coordinate your activities with your contacts.

What should you bring along?

  • University degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable course of study or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 5 years of practical software development experience in C++ required.
  • Extensive experience in developing the software architecture for embedded systems, preferably automotive with AUTOSAR or Adaptive AUTOSAR.
  • Experience in describing and managing complex software architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures, algorithms and software design with very good analytical thinking and error analysis skills required.
  • Experience in developing and integrating software platforms for embedded devices would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge in the automotive environment (e.g. CAN, LIN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, SOME/IP, RTOS, microcontrollers/SoCs, AUTOSAR) is beneficial.
  • Knowledge in scripting languages (e.g. Python) would be advantageous.
