Why did you come to work today?

I come to work because I love what I do. I get to work with people and machines and I am in a position to see projects from an early starting phase to completion. I am a part of something truly amazing and the impact that the processes have on people is what drives me.

How did you get to work today?

Driving to work with my husband and daughter makes me really happy. It gives me a burst of energy to start the new day. I believe being positive helps you to get through whatever happens. And of course it´s always very inspiring to hear my daughter sing in the back of the car on my way to work.

On which project / topic are you currently working? What was your most exciting project?

Currently we are working on re-visiting the Plant Value streams and process maps which were introduced through the VPS (Value added Production system) Live in Plant Rosslyn last year. During VPS Live, the entire plant works on certain projects and topics con-currently and shares that with each other. This event took place over a period of 2 weeks whereby all technologies within the plant focused visualising and improving their processes both in direct and indirect areas. Last year was exciting for me as it was the first time that I was leading VPS Live across Plant Rosslyn.

What makes working at BMW Group special for you?

The people. I am blessed to always be around good people with super great energy and willingness to learn and also to teach me along my own journey.

Tell us something your co-workers don’t know about you?

I actually studied medicine before I ventured into Mechanical engineering with the University of Pretoria. I have been married for 5 years. My husband and I are part of the BMW running club.
