The Digital Design Lead will:

  • Manage end-to-end user experience across a select variety of web and mobile products.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in design for a team, supporting multiple products within that team.
  • Define design productivity across several feature teams and develops mechanisms to measure successful user experiences for customers.
  • Create company processes by virtue of designing solutions that adhere to or improve usability and flow.
  • Define workflows and systems for customers to interact with the company.
  • Evaluate technology products for usability and simplicity with a mind for business goals.
  • Coach product owners and/or project sponsors (executive level) toward user experiences in even divergent circumstances daily.
  • Interact with external entities (e.g. Dealer Council) to take feedback on digital products and improve annually.
  • Lead behavioral in-context research; analyze, synthesize and organize research data into meaningful themes, categories and visually compelling frameworks and behavioral models.
  • Facilitate interactive design/user testing sessions and aggregates results into demonstrable data to improve products.
  • Assess existing applications for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, accessibility and branding and translate action items into user-centered requirements.
  • Lead user centered design workshops and user journey planning sessions.
  • Drive the development of personas and engaging scenarios that describe the proposed experience.
  • Lead and/or create the development of concept models, interaction models, comprehensive wireframe systems, and process flows.
  • Estimate, plan and lead tracks of creative work.
  • Inspire, mentor and lead a variety of designers on the User Experience team.
  • Produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, user interface specifications.
  • Measure the success and effectiveness of the User Experience Design team.
  • Conduct analyses of real usage data to inform UX optimization efforts.
  • Drive the development and communication of design guidelines and patterns.
  • Create pattern libraries, templates, and tools for a variety of users across a vast product portfolio.
  • Oversee close coordination with the product management team to develop a shared vision and then lead a process to define the experience and design to deliver on the product objectives.
  • Embed with the development team daily to ensure uncompromising implementation of design goals and systems.
  • Work strategically with management, product owners, and team members across the organization.
  • Deliver work-effort as part of Agile projects Advocates for customer-centric systems.
  • Understand and model VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
  • Adhere to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualification:
  • BA/BS Degree in Art, Design, Information Architecture, Graphic Design or a related field, or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in the management of information technology application development, maintenance and support.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in IT.
  • 5+ years experience working with and/or creating design systems.
  • 5+ years experience leading design workshops directly with clients.
  • 3+ years experience in an entry-level design role.
  • 1+ years experience in a marketing agency working with global brands.
  • 5+ years interfacing with software engineers to create digital products.
  • 2+ years specializing in UI/UX Testing and results-based improvement.
  • 1+ years working in Agile projects.
