The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for overseeing the analysis and reporting function within BMW Group Financial Services. In this role, you will be preparing management reports, conducting analysis on the actual performance versus budget/forecast and providing proposals for improvement, and evaluating Business lines and products’ margin/profitability results and driving their development towards the target. You will be validating new product/sales program business case proposals and back testing, supporting audit requests (internal and external audits), assisting with the maintenance of Finance related systems, and working closely with business lines to steer their targets achievement.
Specific responsibilities include:
Work closely with business lines (Retail Finance, Commercial Finance, Insurance) to gain an in-depth understanding of the business performance and identify potential risks and opportunities to improve their financial performance.
Responsible for preparing and presenting monthly reports with analysis of actual results vs. budget/forecast to Senior Management, addressing big deviations and providing proposals to steer the business towards target achievement.
Responsible for the monthly communication with Headquarter Controlling colleagues on financial results and further information exchange and support on ad hoc tasks, as required.
Responsible for the cost-benefit analysis for all new products and sales programs.
Responsible for maintaining and improving the pricing tools for Retail (Profit Contribution) and Commercial Finance (Gross Profit & ROE) business lines. Development of new financial models as required.
Responsible for validating actual monthly performance of incentive programs and back testing their effectiveness.
Support all business lines with required financial impact analysis.
Support internal and external audit requests as required.
Ensure sound understanding of forecast and budget submission figures.
Ensure corporate guidelines/policies are followed.
Provide ad hoc analysis as required.
Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
MBA, Finance Designation (CPA, CMA, CFA) or near completion is preferred.
3-5 years of relevant, professional finance experience (financial analyst experience is preferred).
Strong mathematical aptitude and proven analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint).
Experience with Tableau, SQL or other database query languages is preferred.
Strong self-learning capability.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-demand environment.
