My life started very multiculturally. I was born and raised in Nigeria and attended a German school there. In the 7th grade, I moved to Germany with my family and graduated from high school. I knew very early on that I identify myself as a "global citizen", which is why the decision to start my bachelor’s degree in the Netherlands was an easy one. Studying abroad has shaped me and many aspects of my life in various kinds of ways, as well as giving me a more open and complex view of our world and life itself. I have grown from the multitude of experiences and impressions, both privately as well as professionally and academically.

During my International Human Resource Management course, I was able to find interest and dive into topics such as diversity, intercultural communication, and business psychology. These have then captivated me and nourished my thirst for knowledge. However, I still lacked the practical experience of the field and was not yet able to get a realistic connection of the topics and find out where I see myself in the future.

In 2020, I decided to start with my first ever internship at the BMW Group in the department of Employer Branding and HR Marketing. At first, I was very nervous because this was my first practical experience in HR and HR Marketing, and I could not imagine what kind of new experiences and challenges were awaiting me. I was warmly welcomed into the team and was able to get to know a familiar and, at the same time, innovative way of working, in which, even as an intern, you can take personal responsibility and prove yourself. During my time here at the BMW Group, I was able to expand my knowledge, while I was fully supported but at the same time also challenged in the long term, for which I am very grateful. I am still at the beginning of my professional and academic career; thus, I can say with absolute certainty that the internship here has had a huge impact on my life and will continue to do so in the future.
