My first contact with the BMW Group was during my studies in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich: At the beginning of 2016, I did an internship in the Area Management at BMW M. Not too much later, this was followed by a six-month internship at BMW's North American headquarters near New York where I discovered my passion for working abroad. In 2018, I then wrote my master's thesis in Direct Sales Special Customers with a focus on Customer Integration at BMW's headquarters in Munich.

After graduating in 2019, I started in the regional office for the Middle East in Dubai where I was responsible for Volume Planning and Product Management for the MINI brand. In the process, I discovered that you can take over a lot of responsibility very early on, especially abroad. The teams are small, the hierarchies flat. In such an environment, you can quickly develop and implement your own ideas.

In mid-2021, I had the opportunity to move to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) as a Product Manager for BMW. There, I now play a key role in managing the local product strategy and the product portfolio – an exciting and challenging task. A special feature is the local production with its own plant in Kulim – which is about a four hour drive away from the capital. Derivatives of the 2 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5 come off the production line there. It makes me proud to see how our products delight customers all over the world, especially in Malaysia. I consider it a great privilege that my job also gives me the opportunity to get to know different cultures, countries and people. 

In my free time, I am always drawn to nature. Beach buggy rides through the desert of the United Arab Emirates or excursions into the tropical rainforest of Malaysia – I have never been bored. And from time to time, I also indulge in another passion of mine: skiing in the Alps.
