The practical assignments during the semester breaks are a welcoming change from the theory in my studies, as I can gain new experience within a relaxed and open team atmosphere with great colleagues and supervisors and work on my own tasks or projects for the current department.

Through the many practical assignments, I have also been able to get to know several company divisions and departments. From Quality Assurance to Project Management for IT Applications, the Development of an Android App to Quality Management at BMW M, there have been many exciting things.
I have been fascinated by BMW vehicles since I was a child, and I already knew that I would like to work for the BMW Group when I grew up. In order to be able to follow this path, I completed my secondary school leaving certificate via a technical college and applied to the BMW Group in my final year of school as a Composite Student of Computer Science. When I looked at the application portal one evening and saw that I had successfully completed the application process, a long-awaited dream came true for me.
My dual study programme is structured in such a way that within 4.5 years I do an apprenticeship as an IT Specialist for Application Development and a Bachelor of Computer Science – in conjunction with the University of Applied Sciences Munich – at the same time. The whole thing offers you the perfect opportunity to combine practice and theory.

In addition, you usually have the opportunity to organise your own practical assignments in consultation with the trainer and the departments. This also allows everyone to look into exactly those areas that interest them the most personally. These many experiences make it possible to better orient oneself in the professional environment and ultimately decide where one's own future should go.
I am really looking forward to my further development at BMW, the many insights into the most diverse areas and the opportunity to learn new things and constantly develop myself. I hope to make a difference at BMW with my skills, ideas and motivation and thus contribute to the company's success.
