GET TO KNOW HAMID.

Growing up, my family has always been involved with cars as a profession. This instilled a great amount of love and passion in me for everything related to the industry since a young age. After graduating with a degree in Business Administration and Management, I joined the BMW Group as an intern in 2005 at the Munich headquarters. Ever since, I knew that I am in the right environment to develop an exciting career.

Across my 17 years with the BMW Group, I was always ready to learn and grow through the company. I had the opportunity to hold several Senior Management roles in areas such as Sales, Marketing, Pricing and Product. My journey with the BMW Group also offered me strong clarity with my personal development, which directed me towards the completion of my MBA and PhD studies. Perhaps one of the most inspiring elements during my journey at the BMW Group would be the ability to operate with an entrepreneurial spirit. In fact, it is encouraged and is a strong part of the culture.

Helping me every day in my work is not only my fantastic team, but also the BMW Group hierarchy, which constantly supports and pushes its people. Thanks to tremendous communication and openness, I continue to feel supported from the grass roots level to top management at the BMW Group, which stimulates great feelings of loyalty towards the company.

Outside the office, I’m an E-Gamer and enjoy bringing out my competitiveness through the games I play. I also try to chase memorable routes and sceneries on a motorbike, as I consider it to be therapy for the mind and soul.

The BMW Group is a fast, dynamic and agile operation, and decisions are made swiftly, which is exciting because we live in a world that is fast paced. It’s been a wonderful ride since I started way back as an intern in Munich, and I'm confident there are plenty more exciting miles to go.
