As my father already worked at BMW, my passion for BMW products was awakened early and I grew up with Sheer Driving Pleasure. However, after my apprenticeship, I first got to know two other companies in the SME sector before my path led me to BMW. After joining as a Human Resources Specialist for the E department, I was always happy to take advantage of the opportunities offered by BMW. I worked in operational HR, in strategic projects (IT-related) nationally and also internationally (UK, China, South Africa, USA) and made the leap to management.

I care about people and enjoy challenging and developing talents. After more than 20 years in the HR division, I was offered a Commodity Management position in indirect purchasing. I dared to take the step into the new department and environment and never regretted it. Four years later, I was given the position of Head of Indirect Purchasing Region America and relocated to New Jersey, USA, with my husband in autumn 2021.

This role is super exciting and challenging as my team is spread across the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. We buy everything for the respective National Sales Companies and National Financial Services Companies – from marketing to various services such as HR, logistics or construction to IT. The range of topics and the internationality make the job incredibly interesting and I love working with a diverse team.

In my private life, I am interested in other cultures and countries and love to travel while the joy of driving has never left me and so I still enjoy driving a BMW every day.

After 25 years with BMW, I can say that I have never regretted a single day.
